In the paper “Vicinity of the Mount Elbrus as the ‘Window’ to Earth’s Ecosystem. Ecological Problems” [1] that arise from several ecological expeditions organized by the author he described many ecological problems observed through the ‘window’ of vicinity of the Elbrus. Most global of them is the destruction of the atmosphere above the whole planet. The sign of this destruction is the ‘blanket’ containing human refuse, about 1500 m thick, the upper limit of which is at a height of above 4200 m. The task for next special ecological expedition is to define the chemical constitution of this ‘blanket’. The author proves that intensive pollution leaves traces even in the places where presently no ecologically destructive industries are functioning, and studies the climate pattern of Caucasus contributing to that.
Keywords: Greater Caucasus Mountain Range; Caucasian climate; cyclone; ecological problem; environment.
