For practical usage at contextual learning the authors have considered the problem of mathematical knowledge and skills’ quality through the solution of practice-oriented tasks on the example of economic functions. They did mark the necessity of modern technologies introduction in a competence-based approach for effective practicum and independent work. With the aim of better understanding the methods of solutions and their practical importance of the proposed tasks, the authors have offered to use the same economic functions and models in different interpretations from the point of view of mathematics.
