The author analyzes modern Russian language vocabulary changes during last decades and evaluates the causes of these changes. He shows that, on the one hand, new words incorporation in any language is conditioned by the arising of new domains of science and technology and therefore new notions appearance. Typically these notions are international and linguistic borrowing related to them constitutes global trend. On the other hand, English loan words misuse both at professional and mundane level is gratuitous and leads to the impurity of Russian language. The author insists that against the background of Russia’s escalating information and psychological warfare with Atlantic-oriented countries Russian language spoiling facilitates national culture deformation and patriotic consciousness erosion.
Keywords: Russian; language impurity; linguistic borrowing; culture deformation; English loan word.
