In this article, the author considers the ontogenesis of the creation of young children. A review of research papers on this issue is carried out. The relentless relevance of the problem of the relationship between the nature of language and creativity is emphasized. The problem field of ontolinguistics is analyzed, it is noted that the problem of the formation of speech in children is of particular importance in it. Comparison of approaches to the study of the development of children’s speech in the works of two prominent researchers – K.I. Chukovsky and N. Chomsky, who in different ways describe the phenomenon of universal grammar.
