The author discusses the personality’s adjustment to the social environment. He presumes this adjustment to be a complex multi-level process based on the dialectics of man’s sense of himself and of the environment ultimately determining the individual’s sociocultural integration quality. In addition, the author considers some properties of an integration process as a system of interaction between the individual and the sociocultural space. These inherent properties characterize the individual’s ability for adequate perception of his (her) sociocultural environment.
Keywords: society; integration; adjustment; social adaptation; socioculture.
