Keeping the status of Technical University and Russian leading higher school in the field of science-intensive specialists’ preparation, MIET constantly launches new training programs. In 1992 the Institute of Economics, Management and Law was organized. The first dissertation for a degree of Doctor of Economy was defended in 2009. According to MIET President, Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Engineering Science, Professor Yuri A. Chaplygin, establishing the economic and social scientific journal means a new stage in the development of the University’s scientific and publication activity. It provides an access to a great variety of opportunities for an active scientific creative work of academics, students and post-graduates at the University.
