The author discusses the importance of ethnocultural components in education content, emphasizing their special role in multicultural educational space stabilization and harmonization. He notes the necessity to develop an integrated Federal program of ethnocultural education implementation. The author provides considerations for its elements’ incorporation into current education system. Finally he reviews models of schools with ethnocultural components built and tested by Russian teachers (evidence from the Tomsk Region and the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic).
