The article analyzes different approaches to the concept of blended learning, considers the possibilities of introducing this type of training into the educational process of a technical university in the context of the informatization of Russian education. Models of blended learning are presented on the example of three technical universities: the Moscow Institute of Electronic Engineering, the Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics, and the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. The results are analysed. The positive and negative aspects of the use of electronic resources in the educational environment of technical universities in the context of intensification of informatization of education are presented.
