The article is devoted to the philosophical analysis of the value foundations of leadership as a complex and multi-level phenomenon that has a significant impact on the life of society. The following aspects of the axiology of leadership as the connection between the personality of a leader and the personal development of members of the organization, have been considered; interaction in communication; the semantic content of the activities of the leader and the organization. The emphasis has been made on the connection between the axiological foundations of leadership and the style of leadership. It has been concluded that only value-based leadership is true leadership aimed at progressive social transformations and the formation of a high business and communication culture. Leadership based on values goes beyond the limits of being the personality of the leader himself and is aimed at deep transformations that change not only a specific situation but possibly the life of an entire organization or community.
