The article is devoted to the philosophical analysis of the role of laughing communication in the crisis periods of socio-cultural development. The authors have analyzed main features of laughing communication, which follow crisis phenomena of social being. They have distinguished main approaches to this problem. The authors did conclude that laughter and laughing communication are collective concepts and pronounced socio-cultural phenomena performing a communicative function that qualifies laughter as a significant component of social communication. They have stressed out that laughing communication preserves the spiritual health of the nation in the most critical and crisis periods of its development.
