The authors have presented the results of research of modern standards and methodologies of project management, business analysis, project management bodies of knowledge in the information technologies for the purpose of using in project the data collection methods such as questioning, interviewing, focus group, brainstorming, observation, joint workshops, seminars with facilitation, retrospectives, etc. They have noted wide spreading of these methods and extensive experience in their use in marketing. The authors cite an example of heuristic methods use in project activities, give advices, consider the applicability of each method for various research purposes. They did substantiate the involvement of marketing specialists and business analysts with experience in developing tools and conducting research in the project team.
