The author puts in perspective the importance of esthetic reference points for adolescent personality development. The author considers music as source for human esthetic needs formation. Analyzing the music piece perception the author lays special emphasis on contexts making it a result of composer’s and listener’s co-authorship. The author has exposed special traits of musical perception, namely subjectiveness and richness, and has substantiated the role of musical co-authorship in dealing with problems specific to developmental age.
