The author considers main education requirements applied to privileged social class in the first quarter of 18th century. The author did brought to light foreign education’s advantages and principal value along with noblemen’s key accomplishments in practice. The author has explained the causes of high-placed noblemen’s negative attitude towards coercion to study in a strange land and has marked the foreign education as one of crucial components of career advancement for the nobility.
