The authors did relate a history of information society establishment under conditions of globalization. They did compare conceptual aspects of American and Russian models of information society establishment. The authors have disclosed the pivotal role of information and communication technologies in accelerating the infosphere of social medium. They have analyzed the attitude of young people to reading from electronic and paper carriers, giving data of sociological research of student audience interaction with mass media channels.
