The author brings to light the meaning of knowledge-intensive enterprise staff intellectual capacity and intellectual work use for innovative development and competitiveness promotion. There is the author’s own representation of “intellectual work” and “intellectual capacity” notions. The author has unveiled the main factors impacting intellectual work, has determined its constituents and has briefly related the approach to intellectual work management with due regard to optimality criteria.
