The author discusses the question about engineering students’ mathematics teaching efficiency increase by using intensive technologies. In the context of competence-based approach the author affirms the necessity of innovative and traditional technologies joint usage. Considering three types of innovative approach to educational technologies the author substantiated the necessity of mathematical training planning and carrying out methods change and places emphasis on two basic kinds of intensive learning technologies, namely active lecture and practical session.
