The work of outstanding English scientist I. Newton reveals worldview syncretism of his views. The historical and cultural conditionality of philosophy, science, alchemical and theological traditions synthesis haven’t prevented the genius from combining organically the experimenter’s mastery and the theorist’s courage of thought. It is shown that, having created classical mechanics, Newton has formulated the whole scientifi c program under the infl uence of which the science developed up to the beginning of 20th century. The analysis of extra scientifi c sources’ role in Newton’s
world outlook views leads to the conclusion that greatness of Newton’s personality consists in integrity of his contribution to the formation of 17th century science.
