The principal directions of Finland’s largest and most successful companies’ innovative activity are
considered, their experience in creating and developing start-ups and commercializing the results of intellectual activity is analyzed. The examples of production facilities co-operation with universities’ research and development branches and also of small innovation firms’ organization initiated by students are given. The focus is on trainings and seminars delivered by Finnish companies in Russia.
