The author did consider basic requirements to statistical data use for analysis and forecast of socio-economic development of Russia, distinguishing general and special requirements to statistics used for elaboration of middle- and long-term forecasts. The author did notice specific problems arising at original data preparation for forecasting socio-economic development of the Russian Federation. The author has proposed directions of statistics betterment in order to improve the original statistical data quality.
