The author considers risk-management as one of the most important functions in the enterprise management process implementation. The author points to characteristic trait of modern economic systems: an increase in the uncertainty of their behavior due to the complication and acceleration of the processes occurring in them and the increase in scale of the consequences of the management decisions taken. In conclusion the author states that timely identification, assessment and analysis of the perceived risks are the determining conditions for the success and effectiveness of company management decisions.
