The article deals with the identification and scientific justification of socio-economic factors affecting the change in the crime rate. The author did analyze statistical data on the crimes most frequently committed in a state of alcoholic intoxication and posing an increased danger to the public. The author has constructed regression models reflecting the presence of a direct relationship between various categories’ crime wave and alcoholic products sales revenue and also the strength of alcohol sold.
