Transformation of the Federal Model of the Russian Federation on the Cusp of the 20th and 21st Centuries: Causes and Consequences

The author did analyze the economic, political and international causes of transformation of the Russian Federation state system model; did mark the stages of federation’s transformation, and specifically under conditions of politico-administrative and socio-economic crises and rights and power redistribution between center and regions. The author has shown political and economic development trajectories of Russia that were formed by legislative powers. The author did consider the aspects of difficulties’ overcoming at the formation of a nationally oriented model, and did the attitude of Russian elite concerning this question.
