The authors have solved the manufacturing planning problem of a company producing natural cosmetics by methods of linear programming using Microsoft Excel. They have found optimal production plan with the highest revenue from sales of products at prices established by market research. The authors did carry out analysis of the solution taking into account changes in prices. They have given recommendations for increase in inventory of scarce resources and reduction of non-deficient ones. The solution was checked for integrality.
Keywords: resource allocation; production planning; linear programming problem; shadow price; optimal solution; mathematical model.
