The author has substantiated the need of students’ personal enhancement and has shown the significance of recent graduates’ personal maturity for their successful adaptation to professional life. The author did give pedagogical conditions necessary for each of four structural components
of personal and professional development, analyzed in the works of eminent Soviet and Russian psychologists and teachers. Based on own experience of practical studies in a university, the author did elaborate guidelines for educational process optimization.
