The author considers the notion of personal dignity and its historical nature as ethical value, stating that under conditions of globalizing world the personal dignity value could be treated as indispensable cultural universal. Primary fields of personal dignity mainstreaming are practice of civil rights and liberties’ enjoyment along with culture of professional communities that distinguish by steady and “vivid”, inspiring ethos. The latter is illustrated by culture of leading universities: Californian Technological and Stanford, documented in their Honor Codes.
