The authors presented data on the National Research University of Electronic Technology second-year students’ physical preparedness level received over the 2012 to 2014 period. They employed visual data mining and statistical analysis methods to explore the concordance between curriculum standards for students’ physical training and specifications on the physical training in Russian army. The research has allowed establishing the equivalence of standards for students and for military personnel in strength training and their nonequivalence in endurance level
estimation. The recommendations for standards correcting are given.
