The historical and political analysis of the Russian social-democratic movement formation process on the
eve of the first Russian revolution and the revolutionary processes of 1905—1907 is provided. The peculiarities of Russian society of the early century and the revolution’s contradictory character are noted. It is shown that in the beginning of the revolution the revolutionary social-democratic movement was ideologically heterogeneous and not fully decorated but the revolutionary parties were able to influence the outcome of the revolution and the revolution itself became a condition for their transformation into a full-fledged participants of political processes in Russia.
