The authors have presented data about the level of physical preparedness of second grade students of the National Research University of Electronic Technology “MIET” that entered the military department in 2016. The authors did a comparison of the military physical preparedness standards, 4th grade of GTO complex standards and standards for university students, paying special attention to the non-equivalence of the standards for the military personnel. The authors have pointed out problems in the organization of physical preparedness system in order to reduce the lack of physical activity, to improve the young population health status, and to increase the physical development and physical preparedness level of students.
