The author considers young people as a special age group, analyzing features of young students. Underlining the importance of physical culture for strengthening the students’ health ground, the author did summarize long-term experience of Moscow State Academy of Water Transport in studying students’ attitudes toward a healthy lifestyle, on the basis of which the author’s method for developing an individual health improvement program of a student with regard for personal psycho-physiological characteristics was proposed. The author also disclosed methods of self-control when performing physical exercises.
