The author justifi es the usage of social network tools in communications between a tutor/teacher and a student as well as between a deanery and a student for pursuance of newest Russian educational standard that pays particular attention to development of interactive forms of learning. The argumentation is based on the assumption that virtual social networks are fi rmly established in the life of almost every student and the principle of modern business community: “If your business is not in the Internet — then you have no business” is clarifi ed to: “If you’re not in a social network, you are not in the Internet”.
