Housing Question for Students: Challenges and Opportunities

The authors place greater focus on the ways higher education institutes of various countries help their students to solve the off-campus housing problems. The authors did generalize real-life experience of British higher schools (since Great Britain is renowned for its centuries-long history of universities’ and campuses’ development) along with their personal experience related to contacts with universities regarding student accommodation and to Manchester university off-campus housing. The authors have analyzed in detail the housing rules and regulations accepted in Great Britain, and have compared shorthold tenancy contracts existing in this country and in Russian Federation.
