The author considers modern myth, articulating its key characteristics. Based on major works of 20th century European philosophers, such as E. Cassirer, J. Derrida, G. Deleuze and M. Foucault, the author enumerates total myth still governing the consciousness of modern man and makes a conclusion about the nature of human history.
